DigitalGlobe, Inc. ( NYSE : DGI ), a leading global provider of earth imagery solutions, today announced that its shareowners voted to approve the issuance of DigitalGlobe common stock, par value $0.001 per share (the "Share Issuance proposal"), pursuant to the previously announced Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated as of July 22, 2012, as amended, by and among DigitalGlobe, 20/20 Acquisition Sub, Inc., WorldView, LLC, and GeoEye, Inc. The approval of the Share Issuance proposal was required to complete the merger involving DigitalGlobe and GeoEye, Inc. ( NASDAQ : GEOY ).
AUVSI to FAA: Focus on your Mission, Proceed with UAS Integration

AUVSI Chairman of the Board Peter Bale and President & CEO Michael Toscano today requested the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) focus on its commitment to innovative partnerships and proceed with the integration of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) into the National Airspace System (NAS). The selection of six UAS test sites has been delayed by more than three months so far, despite a congressionally mandated timetable for the site selection process and overall integration.
China to Spend $372 Billion on Cutting Energy Use, Pollution

China will plough $372 billion into energy conservation projects and anti-pollution measures over the next three-and-a-half years, part of a drive to cut energy consumption by 300 million tonnes of standard coal, the country's cabinet said Tuesday. A report from China's State Council, or cabinet, said the investments will take China almost halfway to meeting its target to cut the energy intensity 16 percent below 2010 levels by 2015. Read More
